Would any MPs who support taking back the £20 per week uplift payment to the poorest like to push to get the £25 per day food allowance for MPs taken back too?
When you’re at the point where your govt is insisting the lights won’t go out and there will be enough food, you have to ask yourself why TF we’re even having this conversation. We’re not victims of chance. This is not ‘unlucky’ This is Tory Brexit, Tory negligence, Tory failure.
Perhaps a first step for Brexit Britain is to set a course to making the UK self sufficient in energy and food production. We’re nowhere near.
Is there a risk of the lights going out in the EU? Are their energy companies collapsing? Is there a carbon crisis threatening their entire food industry within days? Are their hospitality businesses stymied by staff shortages? Are they unable to transport food? Are they fuck.
